Travel Beauty & Skincare: Babymoon Edition

My husband, Sid and I are off on our babymoon this week! We are headed to Ireland to explore Dublin and the country, and I’m so excited! Life has been a bit hectic lately with work and our new home, which is currently under construction. All exciting things happening in our lives, but we are in much need of some quality time together and R&R. Anyway – one of the most frequent questions I get is my skincare and beauty routine for travel. As a blogger, my routines are always evolving, but I wanted to share my latest finds and holy grail staples that I’ll be bringing with me on this trip. Packing is always such a pain, but the one part I do enjoy is putting together my cosmetic bags!

Skincare Staples

  • Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask – Need I say more? I rarely travel without this mask. It’s so versatile. For long haul flights, I wear it on the plane, but it’s also great for an overnight sleep mask. The aluminum tube makes it so easy to travel with.
  • Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser – One of the cutest minis I’ve ever seen. This cleanser is a travel necessity for me. It’s so important to wash your face, both morning and especially at night to remove the day’s grit.
  • Caudalie VinoPerfect Serum – Many glow serums are not safe for pregnancy, but this one thankfully is! It’s been on my HG list for a long time, as I’m so happy with the glowing results.
  • Glossier Super Pure – This serum is formulated with the ability to soothe redness and combat blemishes. I use this serum once a day after I wash my face and before applying my moisturizer. It truly minimizes my blemishes.

Skincare Newbies

  • Biossance Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel – I’ve been using this eye gel for a few weeks now, and I definitely notice my under eye is brighter. I’ll be testing this out more during this trip to share more results.
  • Bliss Rose Gold Rescue Gentle Moisture Cream – This is a new line of products for sensitive skin. Now that I’m pregnant I’m looking for a new daytime moisturizer with safe ingredients that can be worn all day and under makeup. Stay tuned!
  • Supergoop! Superscreen Daily Moisturizer  – A new purchase, this is another moisturizer I’m trying out for daytime use. I like that it has 40SPF. I will report back on my thoughts after giving it a try for 2 – 3 weeks.
  • Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Overnight Cream – Likewise I’m testing out safe ingredient night creams. I’ve been using this one for a few weeks now and so far liking the results. Stay tuned for more!
  • Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum – I received a tester of this product during a pregnancy safe facial. I’m a new user of this organic skincare brand, and will share more once I give this a try!

Makeup Staples

  • Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer – I use both Matte & Dewy finishes, matte for daytime and dewy (illuminating) for evening. I love the coverage these provide, while also moisturizing the skin. Makeup routine staple, for sure!
  • Lancome Monsieur Big – This is my favorite evening mascara. If you’re looking for that wow factor – this is the one. Snag one of the limited edition pink containers!
  • Bobbi Brown Bronzer – I can’t even count the number of years I’ve been using this bronzer. With a large brush, I give my entire face and neck a dusting to even out tone and finishing with a perfect tan. I use the medium color.
  • Bobbi Brown Under Eye Corrector – My eyelids and under eye are my concern areas because these areas show redness. Whether a simple daytime look or evening out, I am always applying this product. It’s evens out tone immediately and preps the lids for powder. I love this product.
  • NARS Pore & Shine Control Primer –  I’m obsessed with this product. I love how my skin feels after using this primer. My skin is soft, supple and ready for next steps. I highly recommend this primer. If you’re looking for radiance, it also comes in a radiance finish, and an SPF version.

Makeup Newbies

  • Estee Lauder Naked Truth Lipstick – Found a great replacement for one of my favorite MAC lipsticks, which has been discontinued forever. This Estee Lauder shade is beautiful for daytime and evening. It’s the perfect pink, not too light and not too dark. I also love the magnetic packaging.
  • Clinique Liquid Eyelining Pen – I haven’t used this one yet, but I’ve been avoiding the use any eyeliner lately. I been going for a more natural look. This pen has great reviews, and I’m going to try it out for a subtle evening look on this trip.

Haircare Staples

  • Oribe Signature Shampoo & Conditioner – As many of you know, I love Oribe products. I do not travel without them. I attribute my healthy hair to the consistent use of these products. I also try to let my hair air dry as much as possible. I love the signature shampoo and conditioner. The travel sets are a great size and almost forgot to mention the absolutely amazing scent!
  • Oribe Runthrough – This detangler and hair primer is such a lovely formula. The more I use this product, the less I see hair in my brush.
  • Oribe Featherbalm – I use this product in my damp hair and it gives a feather like finish. My hair always feels so light and soft with this one.

For the Belly

  • Earth Mama Belly Butter – I’ve been using a handful of different products to ease my stretching skin. This bottle has a closing mechanism and I’ve been enjoying it the most, so it’ll be coming with me on this trip. I will be reviewing these maternity products in more detail soon.

I’m off on my babymoon this week, so wanted to provide you all with lots of content and products to read about. I’ll be connecting as much as I can on instagram and stories, and will be writing more on my adventures in Ireland upon my return. Comment below with any product questions!
