Clean beauty has been a highly researched category of skincare and beauty for years now. I’ve always focused on total self care, and paying attention to my skincare ingredients has been a priority. Now that my big pregnancy secret is out (YAY!), this has also been a motivating factor in my clean self care research and regimens.
The holidays are of course my favorite time of year! I love decorating, cooking, cozy nights at home, family time, and shopping for gifts. The holiday season truly warms my heart. Although gift shopping can be overwhelming when your list is long or short. So for those of you in need of gift ideas, here are some of my suggestions as I already started my shopping quite early.
This past weekend was filled with some wonderful quality time with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. We got to reflect on the year together and talk about our goals as a couple for the future. I also got to relive our wedding through the videos and pictures. I was so happy with how everything turned out – the venues, music, decor, food, my dress, hair and makeup, and of course having glowing skin for the big days! One of the most frequently asked questions I get is what my pre-wedding skincare routine consisted of, so I thought what better time to share it with you. Here are some tips to get that glowing skin for you big day!

Happy Friday all – and 20% off Sephora Rouge Holiday Bonus Sale! I got the OleHenriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask with my points a few months back and have used up the whole sample. I have been in search of a new clay based mask, as my previous favorite got discontinued. I use this mask when my skin is feeling dull and needs a good detox.
Happy Monday! I had such a nice weekend at home with my husband and puppy, and I made sure to focus on self care. For those of you that follow me on instagram already know what #toweltime means for me, but for those that are new to the concept I wanted to share with you in hopes it can be a great addition to your self care routine. After a nice hot shower, I put on a comfy robe, wrap my hair up in a towel and lounge in bed or on the couch. Right now I’m using the Aquis Lisse Luxe Long Hair Towel. This towel cuts drying time and helps with frizz and breakage. #Toweltime can be for as little as 5 minutes or hours at a time of just relaxation for the mind and body. It is accompanied with face, hair, foot, lip and eye masks, chilled yoga toes, and a hot cup of tea. This is my ultimate me time! Yoga toes are great for relaxing the feet, and helping with balance if you’re a yogi.
After spending a couple weeks in New York for work, I’m back at my desk in need of some R&R (which I got some yesterday for #selfcaresunday) and hydration! My plans for today are to drink lots of water and do a face mask or two to lock in moisture. For #maskmonday, I’m sharing with you my 5 favorite masks right now and when I typically use them.
Getting ready for the fall & winter seasons is one of my favorite prep times. With the change is seasons comes the change in climate, wardrobe and skincare lineup. Colder weather means less moisture in the air. Below I’m sharing a few tips and tricks by category that I do to stay glowy and moisturized.
A few of my daily essentials! Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser has become a staple of my morning and evening routine. As soon as I wake up, like brushing my teeth, I cleanse my face. It’s soothing formula leaves my skin feeling clean and soft.
Skincare masks are such a treat, especially sheet and eye masks which add the benefit of easy application. I use masks ALL THE TIME, often during #toweltime. What I love about eye masks is they can be that quick fix or pick me up in the morning or before an evening out. Also, eye masks were one of the first things that got me totally enthused by skincare. Right now, I’m hooked on Peace Out Puffy Eyes patches.
