Mask Me Anything – My 5 Favorites RN
After spending a couple weeks in New York for work, I’m back at my desk in need of some R&R (which I got some yesterday for #selfcaresunday) and hydration! My plans for today are to drink lots of water and do a face mask or two to lock in moisture. For #maskmonday, I’m sharing with you my 5 favorite masks right now and when I typically use them.
- Drunk Elephant T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial – If you follow me, you already know how much I love this mask. After a long work week, the night before a big event, or starting the week off right, the babyfacial mask is great. I apply 1 – 2 pumps of the mask for 20 minutes. After rinsing, I see a truly noticeable difference, my skin looking bright, the surface feeling even and smooth, and wrinkles less visible. For more read here.
- Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask – Having a gentle mask like this on hand is so important. It’s very versatile, as it can be applied all over the face or focused on the under eye. It can be left on overnight or used for a quick 10 minutes. I turn to this mask for overnight use alternating out my moisturizer, during travel and flights, or after a lot of sun exposure. - Dr.Jart+ Brightening Infusion Hydrogel Sheet Mask – For all you brides-to-be out there, this was my wedding prep mask. It’s light, refreshing, smells delightful, and my skin is soft, even and super glowy afterwards. I typically use this mask during a longer #toweltime session because it’s tough to walk around the house with it on (it’ll start to slip). I used it the evening before my engagement shoot, bridal shower, and wedding day, and now whenever I want to really glow. Read more here.
- Biologique Recherche Masque Vivant – The P50V was my introduction to this brand. Then a friend advised me to try this mask, and now I’m hooked. I love the anti-aging properties of the Masque Vivant, and I’m not the only one, as it’s currently on back order at Rescue Spa. I use as suggested, about 1 – 2 times per week and my skin feels nourished and bright, and complexion even and purified. According to the brand, it’s a balancing mask, containing high concentrations of yeast, cucumber, and witch hazel extracts renowned for their skin purifying properties. It is recommended for oily, combination, dull and/or less toned skin.
- Dr. Hauschka Hydrating Cream Mask – 20 minutes of targeted and intensive rich care, this cream mask is perfect for my dry skin days. Although intensive, it’s gentle enough for the eye area. I apply the mask all over the face, eye area, neck and decollete. After removing and rinsing, my skin feels super moisturized. It’s perfect for the dry, cold seasons approaching. I just spent a whole week with this brand in New York, and can’t wait to share more.
- Bliss Multi- ‘Face’ eted All-in-One Anti-Aging Clay Mask – Unfortunately this mask is discontinued, but thought I’d share because I love it, still use it, and am seeking a replacement product. This mask I turn to on my oily days, often during summer when I need to remove the oil and grit from a long day. The fragrance is a lovely mint, which is certainly refreshing. After rinsing, my skin is baby soft and excess oils removed. If any of you have a clay mask you’re loving right now, comment below!
